If the cooling effect of the fuel injector is not good and the temperature is too high, the needle valve of the fuel injector is prone to seizure or other failures. Because the exhaust valve is seriously heated, poor cooling will also increase wear and reduce its service life. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure sufficient cooling effect for some important components.

    High-strength gray cast iron HT20-40 and HT25-47 are commonly used materials for cylinder heads. Large or enhanced diesel engines use alloy cast iron or ductile iron. Aluminum alloy cast iron cylinder heads are commonly used in air-cooled diesel engines or special purpose diesel engines.

    For cast cylinder heads, in order to prevent the bolts from being stretched more after being heated and affecting the tightness, generally after the bolts are tightened when the car is cold, they must be tightened again after the engine is hot. Air-cooled internal combustion engines usually use aluminum alloy cylinder heads. Because of their high working temperature and large thermal expansion, it is strictly forbidden to twist the cylinder head bolts when the car is hot. If air leakage is found during work, after the engine has cooled to normal temperature, all bolts must be loosened and tightened again as required.
