The calibration of diesel engine power is comprehensively determined according to the characteristics, service characteristics, life and reliability requirements of diesel.

At present, according to the national standard GB1105.1-1987 "Internal Combustion Engine Bench Performance Test Methods, Standard Environmental Operating Conditions and Calibration of Power, Fuel Consumption and Oil Consumption", the calibration power of diesel engines is divided into four types.

(1) 15min power: under standard environment (atmospheric pressure=100kPa, relative temperature=30%, ambient temperature=298K or 25℃, intercooler cooling medium inlet temperature=298K or 25℃.), the diesel engine is allowed to run continuously for 15min The calibrated power.

(4) Continuous power: the calibrated power allowed for long-term continuous operation of diesel engines under standard environmental conditions.

The 15min power is for automotive diesel engines, such as cars, motorcycles and motorboats, which run at the highest speed when overtaking or pursuing, and are allowed to run at full load within 15min. During normal driving, it runs at the nominal power of the diesel engine. For automotive diesel engines, 1h power is usually used as the calibrated power, 15min power as the maximum power, and the corresponding speed is the calibrated speed and the maximum speed.

Automobiles often run at lower than the rated power. Therefore, under normal circumstances, the rated power of automotive diesel engines is marked higher to give full play to the working performance of the diesel engine. Diesel engines for generator sets, marine main engines and diesel locomotives usually use continuous power as the calibrated power, and 1h power as the maximum power. Generator sets and ship navigation require high durability and reliability of diesel engines, and the operating power cannot be calibrated too high. The calibration of working power is a complicated task. The higher the working power of diesel engine is calibrated, the shorter its service life. At present, the calibration of the power used by the product is based on the user's requirements and product performance, and is calibrated by the manufacturer.
