During normal driving, it runs at the nominal power of the diesel engine. For automotive diesel engines, 1h power is usually used as the calibrated power, 15min power as the maximum power, and the corresponding speed is the calibrated speed and the maximum speed.
Automobiles often run at lower than the rated power. Therefore, under normal circumstances, the rated power of automotive diesel engines is marked higher to give full play to the working performance of the diesel engine. Diesel engines for generator sets, marine main engines and diesel locomotives usually use continuous power as the calibrated power, and 1h power as the maximum power. Generator sets and ship navigation require high durability and reliability of diesel engines, and the operating power cannot be calibrated too high. The calibration of working power is a complicated task. The higher the working power of diesel engine is calibrated, the shorter its service life.
